ISO/TS 16949

ISO/TS 16949 is a technical specification or a global standard applied in North America and Europe, developed by ISO/TC 176 Technical Committee and The International Automotive Task Force (IATF).

This specification indicates to apply a unified coherent quality management system for automotive industry to decrease the scale of time and expense for the worldwide suppliers from the rules and regulations of the global car manufacturers such as: Daimler-Chrysler, GM, Ford, BMW, Fiat, Peugeot-Citroen, Renault SA, Volkswagen which have based in North America and Europe and their own country organizations such as: AIAG(North America), VDA(Germany), ANFIA(Italy), FIEV(France), SMMT(UK).
